Feeling really excited going into 2019 about Hurdle and all of the goals I have coming down the pipe. Before I break down my new year’s goals, an inspiring tidbit I heard not all that long ago on Short Story Long:
A dream written down with a date becomes a goal.
A goal written down into steps becomes a plan.
A plan backed by action becomes reality.
Good, right? Also: My number one goal-setting suggestion: Share. Get vulnerable. Tell someone. Some of the below goals are more SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, timely) than others. But we’ve all got to start somewhere.
Grow Hurdle to be a bigger business.
Blog here once weekly.
Coach someone (or, many someones!) to run their first marathon.
Save $2,000 for a trip to Italy by 2020 (that’s $166/month)
Learn about investing, and speak with someone who can offer me smart advice about when to do it.
Be where my feet are.
Sit down with one new person each week for at least an hour.
Read 12 books, cover to cover.
Keep up with my gratitude journal.
Be more diligent with my skin care routine.
Let’s begin, Hurdlers—
