I’ve always been an inquisitive person. My mom loves to point out that from a young age, I loved to ask everyone else questions about themselves. Born and raised in Connecticut, I now live in Brooklyn. Over the past 10+ years living in New York, I’ve worked for some of the biggest names in publishing, including Rodale to Conde Nast. But I continuously came back to the question: Was I impacting enough change? Was I making a difference?
With Hurdle, the answer to that question is “no doubt.” What started as an idea on my couch eating ramen noodles with a girlfriend has now flourished into a platform for important conversations and the evolution of my voice. I didn’t know what to expect building Hurdle from the ground-up, but today I can’t imagine my life without this community; a community that’s provided me with a sense of purpose. Large in part to the Hurdler’s (that’s what I call my listeners!) spirit, I started traveling the country to host conversations with guests — meeting y’all along the way. It’s truly been the experience of a lifetime …
